Zipline is an autonomous drone-delivery company headquartered in South San Francisco, building 'a future where delivery gives people more time.' It started flying blood and medical supplies to remote clinics in Rwanda and Ghana and has expanded into US instant delivery with partners like Walmart and Chipotle, operating one of the world's largest fleets of commercial autonomous robots. Expect a hardware- and mission-heavy, predominantly onsite culture — the open-roles board is dominated by battery, electrical, mechanical and field-ops engineering plus a large intern class. Honest caveat: Zipline publishes almost nothing about pay or benefits, so beyond the standard medical/dental/vision + equity + PTO package listed in its job postings, you'll have to ask in the process.
