New York, NY · founded 2015
Alloy is a NYC fintech building identity and fraud-decisioning infrastructure that banks and fintechs use to onboard customers safely, and the small number of people reviewing it describe a welcoming, transparent place with better work-life balance than they'd had before. The consistent caveats: technical debt and QA get shortchanged in favor of shipping features, the career ladder thins out above senior engineer, and internal processes are still catching up as the company scales. It's a high-scope environment where individual contributors own a lot — good if you like breadth and a mission — but the review sample is tiny and the org is visibly still maturing.
