Amplitude is a product-analytics company with a genuinely bottom-up, autonomous culture — reviewers say you get real ownership and room to run, organized around three plain values (humility, ownership, growth mindset). The flip side of that autonomy is that cross-org work lands slowly and direction can blur, especially amid frequent management changes and turnover that reviewers name repeatedly. It's a public company that IPO'd in 2021 and then watched its stock fall hard, and it has trimmed to roughly 780 people, so the mood is leaner and more sober than the growth-era hype. Comp is decent but not top-of-market, and management scores are middling. If you value autonomy and a flatter, less brutal pace over big-tech pay and rock-solid stability, it's a reasonable home; just expect the strategy and org chart to keep shifting under you.
