CRITICAL FOR FOREIGN WORKERS: temporary visa holders, including subclass 482, are NOT eligible for Medicare unless they come from one of eleven reciprocal-agreement countries, and even then cover is limited. Everyone else holds the visa subject to condition 8501 and must buy Overseas Visitor Health Cover for themselves and every dependant for the life of the visa.
