The published bar is being at least 18, passing an annual physical, obtaining and maintaining a CDL with the right endorsements, a clean DPS driving and criminal record, a negative drug and alcohol test, and completing or enrolling in the state School Bus Driver Certification Course. Unlike districts that pay for the licence, CFISD requires the applicant to obtain the CDL. Starting pay is $23.46 an hour for drivers and $16.49 for bus attendants. |
