Sleep Technologist apprentices — an entry route open to anyone with a high school diploma — are paid for their clinical hours on a 36-hour week and are benefits-eligible during the apprenticeship, with A-STEP module fees and the RPSGT exam fee reimbursed. Imaging apprentices are likewise paid for clinical hours with progressive wage increases, and respiratory care assistants get paid clinical experience while still enrolled in their program. |

DUHS staff do have Employee Tuition Assistance (reimbursement for classes at Duke or another accredited institution) and the Special Duke Tuition Rate (80 percent off select undergraduate Continuing Studies courses). |
