San Francisco, CA · founded 2022
LangChain builds the widely-used open-source framework (and the LangSmith/LangGraph commercial products) for putting large language models into real applications. It grew out of Harrison Chase's open-source project into a Sequoia- and Benchmark-backed startup, and the careers page reads like a fast, high-agency early-stage shop — operating principles like 'Maximum agency' and 'Run to the roar' signal a small team that expects ownership and in-office intensity. Honest caveat: it is a young, still-scaling company with a mostly in-office SF culture and little publicly disclosed about pay bands beyond job postings, leave, or long-term benefits.
