Match Group is the Dallas-based parent behind the world's biggest dating apps - Tinder, Hinge, Match, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Meetic and Hyperconnect - and corporate is deliberately lean at roughly 2,200 people. In practice you usually work for one of the brands, each of which runs almost like its own company with its own office, culture and benefits (Hinge in New York advertises 20-week parental leave and a strong 401(k); the Dallas corporate parent lists a broad standard package). Employees praise the benefits, the come-as-you-are dress code, free premium memberships on the apps and smart colleagues. But recent reviews describe a company that has tilted from employee-focused to investor-focused after years of layoffs and activist-investor pressure, with top-heavy management, slow promotions and always-on expectations.
