Nomic AI is a small New York startup, founded in 2022, that first made its name with open-source AI tooling — the Atlas data-visualization platform, the GPT4All local chatbot, and the nomic-embed text embeddings — and has since repositioned as a 'domain-specific AI for the Built World,' building agents that automate work over drawings, specs and building codes for architecture, engineering and construction firms.
