Quora is a question-and-answer platform founded in 2009 by two early Facebook employees; you ask a question, strangers answer, the good answers rise. It became a permanently remote-first company in 2020 and now hires across the US and Canada rather than around its Mountain View roots. Honest caveat: the company is small and has narrowed sharply toward AI, with its Poe chatbot product (launched 2023) now the growth story more than the original Q&A site.
