Cambridge · founded 2006
Speechmatics is a Cambridge-founded deep-tech company building automatic speech-to-text (ASR) technology, with a stated mission to 'understand every voice' — accurate, inclusive transcription across accents and dialects. It was founded in 2006 by speech-recognition scientist Dr Tony Robinson, out of Cambridge, and is a mid-sized outfit (roughly 100-250 people) with offices in Cambridge, London and New York. Its published values are People First, Care Deeply, Be Ambitious and Move Fast. It runs a hybrid model requiring 2-3 office days a week, so it is not a fully-remote employer, and benefits are UK-style (workplace pension, private medical, enhanced parental leave) and vary by location.
