London · founded 2014
Tractable is a computer-vision AI company founded in London in 2014 that assesses damage to vehicles and property from photos to speed up insurance claims — 'enabling fast, accurate damage appraisals, speeding up accident recovery by up to ten times.' It reached a $1B valuation in 2021 and raised from SoftBank's Vision Fund 2 in 2023, and is now expanding from a pure-software model into hardware, building a drive-through vehicle-inspection scanner (LUMA) with a manufacturing team in Salt Lake City. Its careers page markets 'autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility' and a Great Place to Work certification, but publishes almost no concrete benefits — so what you actually receive is not documented publicly.
