Degree paid upfront	Two separate programmes. Staff Tuition REIMBURSEMENT pays 100% of job-related tuition at other accredited institutions up to $4,000 a fiscal year, but only for FULL-TIME benefits-eligible staff who have completed one year of full-time service. Tuition REMISSION lets benefits-eligible staff and faculty take courses at Tufts and extend the benefit to a spouse, domestic partner and eligible dependants. Courses that prepare you for a future job, at Tufts or elsewhere, are not covered by the reimbursement plan.
Paid training	Tufts' staff tuition reimbursement is explicitly scoped to keeping you good at the job you already have, not to preparing you for a different one: it covers job-related courses, degree programmes and trade or professional licence examinations, and excludes courses that prepare you for a future job.
